About
I grew up in Holdrege and currently live in Alma with my husband, Matt, our two boys, Malik (2) and Maverick (1 month), and our Siberian Husky, Mowgli. We enjoy traveling and watching high school sporting events together. I currently spend most of my free time playing trucks or trains with the boys, but if I ever have a spare moment, I like to read, play the piano, and go for walks. I always look forward to spending quality time with my family and friends and I love building relationships, which I can’t wait to begin doing at Legacy!

Psalms 125:1-2 “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” The mental imagery of majestic, unshakeable mountains representing not only the Lord’s infinite protection but our firm foundation when we trust in Him has always been so powerful to me.

About
I am so excited to start at Legacy! I was born and raised in Nebraska. I moved to Holdrege in 2015 with my husband Andrew. We have two kids, Grace and Easton. I love sports and traveling. It was an honor to lead FCA and Youth Group alongside Drew. I wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade because of an amazing teacher. I hope that I too can leave a legacy like her.

2 Timothy 1:9 NIV – ‘He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.’ This verse is just a beautiful reminder of the Gospel. It’s not anything I’ve done or will do. It’s because of Him and His grace that I am saved. Jesus Christ died for you and for me and it was planned before the beginning of time. As a preschool teacher I often look at the International Children’s Bible and the simplicity is so life-giving- ‘God saved us and made us his holy people. That was not because of anything we did ourselves but because of what he wanted and because of his grace. That grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began.’

Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
When it has been hard to understand the circumstances surrounding my family and I, such as when our baby Noah was born and we discovered he had down syndrome, these were the verses that I meditated on reminding myself to trust in the Lord.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge him in all your ways and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 I really like The Message version as well Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own, listen for God’s voice in everything you do,
everywhere you go, he’s the one who will keep you on track.

About
My husband and I recently moved to Elm Creek with our three-year-old daughter, our black lab/collie, a hamster, and several fish. My husband is a mechanic for the Sumner Country Partners Co-op. We both love to go hunting, fishing, and camping as often as we can. We also enjoy taking trips to the mountains and spending time with our extended family, to whom we now live much closer. We are thankful for God’s provision of a new home close to family and are so excited to be joining the Legacy Christian School family, as well!

“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure; children of God in a crooked and depraved generation in which you shine like stars in the universe.” Phillippians 2:14-15
This verse is truly a summary of my faith; it reminds me that my attitude and the way I behave reflects directly on the God I serve. It helps me remember to serve Him faithfully in all things, so others will see His light through me.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Without the vine, the branches will wither away. This picture is so clear on how important it is to be connected with Christ. If we do that, we will live an abundant life, giving glory to Him. The song lyrics “Lord I need you, oh I need you, every hour, I need you” plays on repeat in my head, daily.

I’m married to Judy, K-4 Music teacher at Holdrege Elementary School. We have three children; Andy, 39 Leslie, 38 and Jeff, 23, PLUS four grandkids. From and early age I always wanted to be a teacher and coach. When I went lo college, my thought was to be a P.E. teacher but somehow ended up with a degree in Music Education. So, getting the opportunity to be a P.E. instructor at Legacy is a childhood dream come true.

I grew up in Cozad, Nebraska and moved to Holdrege with my husband, Ben, in 2014. We have three children, Barrett (10), Palmer (8) and Marshall (6). They are very active in sports and activities; we also enjoy playing games, traveling & spending time with family and friends. I am so thrilled to be able to serve at Legacy Christian as the office administrator, but most importantly in my role as a Discipler: leading others in loving obedience to Jesus. I have loved being a preschool assistant teacher for the past two years and am excited to blend that with my business and administrative strengths. I look forward to seeing students and their families each day while serving our school and staff however I can!

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline. I love this verse because there can be so many fears in our world and for our children, but it reminds me that God’s Spirit in me isn’t a Spirit of fear – because the Spirit inside me gives His courage, peace and assurance for what’s before us and our children.”
